Plain-English terms for the written 2-year guarantee that goes home with every Archangel Silver kitten.
For two full years after the date on your kitten's contract, if a licensed vet diagnoses a life-threatening genetic or congenital condition, we will either replace the kitten or refund the purchase price — your choice.
The detail below covers what's included, what's not, and the small handful of things we ask of you to keep the guarantee in effect. A signed paper copy goes home with your kitten.
If a licensed vet diagnoses a hereditary or congenital condition within two years of the date on your contract — and that condition seriously affects your kitten's quality of life — you can choose a replacement kitten from a future litter of equivalent value, or a full refund of the purchase price.
We ask you to take your kitten to your own vet within 72 hours of pickup. If they find a pre-existing illness from that visit, we'll replace the kitten or refund you, including reasonable vet costs for the diagnostic visit itself.
Both Luna and Maxim are tested for FeLV and FIV, and we only allow tested cats into our home. Your kitten will go home FeLV and FIV negative.
A short list of common-sense things that need to stay true for the guarantee to remain in effect:
Most of these are common sense, but spelling them out keeps everyone on the same page:
A 2-year guarantee only makes sense if the kittens behind it are genuinely healthy to begin with. Here's what that looks like for us:
Every kitten on this site is from Luna and Maxim. Single home, single litter at a time, fully documented pedigrees.
Both parents are screened for HCM and PKD before being bred, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. Annual vet exams.
Kittens grow up in the main living space, not a separate room. Daily handling, normal household noise, no isolation.
Mom is fed a high-quality diet through pregnancy and nursing; kittens transition onto a premium kitten food when they wean.
The written warranty ends after two years, but we don't disappear. If you have a question five or ten years down the line — about behaviour, food, something your vet said — you can still call.
A lot of our families stay in touch with photos and updates, which is honestly one of the best parts of doing this.
Happy to walk through anything that isn't clear before you commit to a kitten.
